In December 2010 , we had the privilege to detail the A3 for the Aston Martin Owners Club / Heritage Trust . The A3 is the worlds oldest surviving Aston Martin dated around 1921 , after a 3 year restoration project the car was passed over to the heritage trust in 2009 . After being viewed at the trust headquarters and various events over the comiing years the paintwork had picked up a few scratches and imperfections so Dave and Ian set upon a 40 hour restoration detail to bring the paintwork back to it's best . As a part of the detail the wood and leather were also cleaned and conditioned and the metal work cleaned and polished . The emphasis on this detail was not to over restore everything, in particular the britework on the engine cover and brass fittings so as to maintain a clean but aged look.
It was an absolute pleasure to detail and one we will remember for a long time.
